August 1@10:00 am - 3:00 pm
table covered in craft materials like scissors and construction paper with small hands reaching in

Dive into creativity using sponges and paint to design your own underwater coral reef scenes! This hands-on activity lets young ones explore texture and color while creating a beautiful painted seascape to take home.

This program is part of the museum’s Skipper’s Crew series. Designed for all ages, but specifically geared toward younger patrons, Skipper’s Crew features hands-on activities and crafts focusing on combining art, history and science.

Lights will be dimmed and interactives muted during the first two hours to provide a calmer environment for those with sensory sensitivities. Programs run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The program is free, but donations are accepted and appreciated.
