Sensory Saturday: Sweetheart Pillows

Join the Museum for a calm start to your Saturday morning. This month for Sensory Saturday participants will make small stuffed heart pillows. During World War II, military members would have pillows created and sent home to show their love! Volunteers will be on hand to assist as much or as little as needed.
The Sensory Saturday program is offered the first Saturday of each month and includes dimmed lights, no audio turned on, and a special activity or craft. It is geared for families and/or individuals with sensory sensitivities. Always available at the museum are Sensory Backpacks, Admiral Quarters Sensory Room, Tactile Maps, and a Semi-Guided tour (includes spoken English, English and Spanish Subtitles, and American Sign Language).
