DEEP DIVE INTO HISTORY: World War II Antiaircraft Trainer

Back by popular demand! Join us and learn about Camp Davis, one of the seven US Army’s anti-aircraft training centers during WWII. You’ll even have the opportunity to test your aim with a simulated anti-aircraft weapon.

The free program is designed to give visitors a deeper understanding of our shared past through costumed interpretation. Each Deep Dive will delve into a specific theme in Lower Cape Fear and maritime history. Programs run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and visitors can drop-in at any time during the program to interact with the presenter one-on-one. Registration is not required for the program, which is designed for all ages.
