This free Educator Development class for formal, informal, and homeschool educators gives attendees a look at what the museum offers and how to incorporate maritime history and culture into lessons. Each unit is Social Studies plus another subject and how NCMMSpt can help teach about it. Each unit has a short video, activity, and reflection question. It is designed to spark creativity within your own planning as well as how to include the museum outside of only history settings! It is completely self-paced, so you can start and stop as many times as you want to fit your schedule. In total, we are offering .5 CEU to match the 10 hour contact hour = 1 CEU requirement. To sign up, please email katy.menne@ncdcr.gov. (Please note a FREE Gmail account is required to participate.)
