The museum is offering educational packets for children ages 4 and up. The lesson plans incorporate worksheets, an activity, and a surprise gift designed for one of four different age groups: 4 to 6; 7 to 12; 13 to 17; and 18 and up. Each bundle, which is sent via mail, is $15 and All proceeds support the museum. Featured topics are Pirates, Hurricanes, Working on the Water, U.S. Coast Guard, Native Americans, the Civil War, Colonial North Carolina, Women’s History and ECO Warriors.

“Summer in a Seabag” features the same quality and themes as our traditional summer camps simply moved to the comfort of your port.
Programs are offered for Little Mariners (ages 4 to 6), First Mates (ages 7 to 12), and Quartermasters (ages 13 to 17). Topics include shipwrecks, whales, U.S. Coast Guard, hurricanes, Southport’s history, and more. Seabags come complete with crafts and activities with supplies provided, lesson plans, worksheets, and access to exclusive online content.
