Did you or a close relative serve on active duty down range in a war or conflict since World War I?

The NC Maritime Museum at Southport has partnered with the Library of Congress Veterans History Project to document our veterans serving in conflict since the early 1900s. The museum is looking for veterans who served in a maritime service to come sit for an interview! Check out the link to dive deep into the process or read our highlights below!

Military and civilian veterans of the US Navy, US Merchant Marines, US Coast Guard are invited to sit for an interview to discuss their service. Oral histories will be taken as well as copies of any photographs, letters or other documents. Interviews may be strictly audio or video as well. Interviewee will receive a copy of the interview, the NC Maritime Museum at Southport will keep a copy as well as a copy being saved at the Library of Congress.
