Summer education

Sign up your Little Mariner (4-6 years old) or First Mate (7-12 years old) for summer camp. Little Mariners occur bi-monthly on Wednesdays for one hour. Topics are different on each date and are $7 per participant. Please remember that an adult must stay for the duration of the program. First Mate camps are offered on opposite weeks of Little Mariners and run 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. for four days. Each multi-day camp focuses on one aspect of the maritime community. These camps are $45 per participant and require a packed lunch.

All programs are subject to NC State taxes • 10% discount for Friends of the Museum Family Membership and above

Little Mariners • ages 4 to 6

Bring your Little Mariner in every first and third Wednesday this summer! The hour program includes an art project, storytime and small lesson. Adult must stay with their little mariner for the duration of the program.

First Mates • ages 7 to 12

Drop your first mate off for four hours of nautical knowledge each week of the camp! Be sure to pack lunch, refillable water bottle and clothes they can get dirty in for this half day camp. Camp runs four days and includes art projects, games, activities, scavenger hunts and field trips!
