New Exhibit Ribbon Cutting

The public is invited to join staff and volunteers at the North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport in celebrating the opening of its newest exhibits.

A ribbon cutting will be held at 3 p.m. April 3 for the recently installed A Way of Life — Working the Water exhibit, which pays homage to the region’s commercial fishing heritage, and the Storms that Shape Us exhibit, which takes a look at the history of hurricanes that impacted our area. The Maritime Museum System’s exhibit designer and its historian will attend. Admission to the museum is free.
