BONUS ~Can you fathom the love?~ There are many times Miss Katy has not realized the appearance of things until she sees the pictures after teaching (Like Teacher or T-Rex) or in this case, screen grabs from the weekly toilet paper tube crafts. She selected this image originally posted on August 24th.

Why does she love this post?
"Well, apparently when I am live on Facebook I don't know what to do with my hands. This is also a really cool way to see a fraction of all the organizations that collaborated with us around the state during temporary closure to show how maritime history and culture impacts everyone as well as shout out all the other places around the state that were (and still are) doing great digital offerings."

Pictured Organizations:
Brunswick Town/Fort Anderson State Historic Site Old Baldy Lighthouse and Smith Island Museum of History Bald Head Island Conservancy - BHI Conservancy Bennett Place Historic Site Research Laboratories of Archaeology at UNC-Chapel Hill Cape Fear Pilots Association UNCW Center for Marine Science Alamance Battleground State Historic Site CSS Neuse Civil War Interpretive Center President James K. Polk State Historic Site Friends of Fort Macon Museum of the Cape Fear Historical Complex USS NORTH CAROLINA Battleship Wrightsville Beach Museum of History Friends of NCMNS Tryon Palace The Slave Dwelling Project Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Historic Site & Museum and Southport Wooden Boat Show

Additional Organizations:
North Carolina Museum of History Tobacco Farm Life Museum, Inc. Mountain Gateway Museum and Heritage Center Museum of the Albemarle NC Department of Natural & Cultural Resources North Carolina Symphony N.C. Transportation Museum Brunswick Civil War Round Table

Come hang out with Captain Meanie for another adventure! This month took it took her out to Bald Head Island Conservancy - BHI Conservancy to learn about why Beach Clean-ups are important, learn a little about the organization, and experience the outdoors in a safe, socially distanced, and helpful way! Check out their restrictions and their programs by following them on their media pages or visit: www.bhic.org/

Video runs three (3) minutes twenty-one (21) seconds long and captions can be turned on or off in the lower right corner

~Can you fathom the love?~ Here for the final installment of this L.O.V.E.L.Y. campaign, is once again Ms. Lori! Her final selection was originally posted on October 20th.

Why does she love this post?
"I was thrilled that Katy was awarded the Southeastern Museums Conference-SEMC 2020 Emerging Professional Award. She works so hard for the museum, and volunteers her time to so many groups. Her energy and dedication is incredible and this post made my heart so happy!"

This week's #TriviaThursday is from across the pond. Rules remain the same though - use only your brain to make your one guess and the answer will be posted at 5 p.m.

Which London coffeehouse opened in the late 1680s and became the hub for ship captains, shipowners and merchants? This coffee house was known for its maritime news, hosting ship auctions, and cargo auctions.
