The merchant seamen of World War II faced many of the same dangers as U.S. Navy sailors. Join Dr. Salvatore R. Mercogliano to give these mariners their due honor and learn about how they suffered a greater percentage of war-related deaths than all other U.S. uniformed services.
All Third Tuesday programs are free and open to the public; donations are appreciated. Lectures are held at the Southport Community Building, 223 E. Bay St., at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
