Third Tuesday: Cape Fear River Lock and Dams: Past, Present, and Future

Join Dana Matics to look at the locks and dams along the Cape Fear River. Hear about how the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has adapted during the 106 years the locks have been in service assisting shipping between Fayetteville and Wilmington up to the personal watercraft of today.

All Third Tuesday programs are free and open to the public; donations are appreciated. Lectures are held at the Southport Community Building, 223 E. Bay St., at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Lectures are geared for 16 years and older. For more information or to register, call (910) 477-5151 or RSVP below. Seating is limited, so registration is required.
